The Miuras Mouse Magnum is the "Final Boss" of predator lures. This handmade, Italian-designed hybrid combines the craft of a fly-fisherman with the raw power of a big-bait setup. It is widely considered a "big fish magnet," specifically engineered to move massive amounts of water and provoke strikes from the most territorial, trophy-sized pike.

How to Fish the Magnum
The Miuras Mouse Magnum is surprisingly versatile, but it shines in specific scenarios:
Shallow & Slow: In its "dry" state, it sinks very slowly. It is a legendary weapon for fishing over shallow weed beds or early-spring flats where you need to move the lure as slowly as possible without snagging.
The "Weighted" Hunter:
By attaching a tungsten weight to the nose loop, you can take this massive profile down to the depths.
It maintains its seductive flare even when fished vertically or dragged through deep channels.
The Pause:
One of the most effective ways to fish a Miuras is to simply stop.
On the pause, the bucktail expands (flares) and the tail continues to wiggle as it slowly descends—this is usually when the biggest pike commit.
Note: Because this lure absorbs water, its "wet weight" increases significantly. You’ll need a dedicated heavy-casting rod and a high-strength reel to handle the physics of tossing this behemoth all day.
